Next steps

When I came home from work on Wednesday I was surprised to see that our little Amelia's crib came! It didn't take very long at all to get shipped to us. I always hear horror stories of parents-to-be- waiting and waiting for baby's furniture to come in. So that was a great end to our day. Now we just have to tackle putting it together!

My plan to to get the chair rail paint on and then start on the crib. Hopefully Deric and I don't have to many problems with it. Our patio furniture was the last thing I was going to attempt to assemble..... that was a pain. So I can just image what we will go through with the crib! Although  I put a shelve together for the nursery on Monday and I had no problems!! So I might be on a roll!

In other nursery news. Michelle, the best seamstress ever, is coming today. I am  going to pick out the fabric for Amelia's bedding and drapes! I can not wait to see what she has in store for me. I have LOVED everything Michelle has done for others so I am sure it will be fabulous!  I will be sure to post the results later!!
I hope ya'll are having a great start to the fall season! I am so ready for the fall cooler weather and fashion. It is my most favorite time of year. I am going to start pulling out my fall decor for the house I think this weekend!

Sneek peek into Amelia's Nursery

As soon as we left the doctors on Friday we first hit Target. I couldn't wait one more minute to buy something for Amelia. Mom, Jen and I found some really cute outfits. Here are a few of my favorites we found over the weekend.

I just love the little ruffles on the bum of this sleeper

I could NOT pass up this little hat! I think Amelia might have to come home in this!
So needless to say we got a head start on her wardrobe! Here a peek into her closet. I might have to stop buying clothes. I do have 2 baby showers coming! It is going to be so hard not to peek at the baby clothes when I am out shopping!

After our stop at Target we grabbed lunch then headed to Home Depot to pick out paint. I had the colors I wanted in mind so it didn't  take long at all to get the paint.  I choose a celery green for the top half of the wall and the bottom is a pinkish orange. It is so girly and bright in her room! I can't wait to get it all finished!
before

I had to paint her name up first! Don't worry that's all the painting I did
that's why my mom and sis where here.... they painted! The ultrasound was the bonus!
Finished !!! I am in love with the colors!
I had to add a picture of the piggy bank my sister bought for Amelia!
It matched the room perfectly!  We have already started to fill it up!

Here is a picture of the crib and dresser. We have ordered the crib already and I am pretty sure we will get this dresser. Just depends on if it matches the crib wood color.

We want to thank Mom and Dad Bidwell for buying Amelia's crib. It was so sweet of them! The crib does convert out to a toddler then to a full. We went ahead and ordered the rails also so we won't have to worry about them later!  We got the crib off of Amazon and the dresser is at Target.
Also I want to thank my Mom, Janice, and Jen for coming 12 and 9 hours away to visit. I know it is a long drive and glad they were here for the ultrasound. Also thanks for  helping us so much this past weekend and for buying Amelia all her outfits!  We are so thankful to have such wonderful family!

Introducing Amelia

Here is the ultrasound from yesterday. I think it is so neat that they give the parents-to-be a copy. I am sure I will have to watch it at least 5 times a day! :)  Amelia was moving around so much! After the tech measured her and weighed her, the tech just let us watch our little princess! It by far the SWEETEST thing I have ever seen! Be sure to turn your sound up... you can hear Amelia's heart beating after the tech measured it!

Amelia is a mover... last night she was moving so much it was hard for me to go to sleep. Maybe she was excited because her room is almost painted! Deric had yet to feel her move but last night I knew he would be able to. I think I woke him up to see if he could feel  her. Sure enough Amelia gave him a few good kicks! It was priceless!
* I will be sure to post pictures of her room when the paint is dry and the tape is gone!

Baby is a ........

We found out this morning after poking our little one a few times that
ITS A GIRL!!!

The picture was of the big screen at the doctors. Baby Girl moved her legs and feet just enough for the tech to get a shot of her! I was TOTALLY shocked and super happy all at the same time! Deric is also so happy and I am sure she will be wrapped around his finger in no time!

Here we are after the ultrasound. I was glad my mom and Jen were there to take pictures.
Here is a few more of us waiting to see Dr. Seale. Deric headed back to work before we went back to see Dr. Seale. She didn't do much today just asked about movement and measured my belly! She did tell me I look pregnant finally!

I was going to write this last night but didn't. My mom and sister got here on Wednesday night with no problems but driving in the rain the whole way from Indiana. I am so happy to have them both with us this week.  We didn't do much the first night because they got here around dinner time and I just beat them home from work.  We made pizza and watched a movies before going to bed. I am sure they were  tried... I know I am always tired when we travel!
Yesterday, Deric was off to work and us girls had coffee and cinnamon rolls or breakfast. We didn't leave the house till around 12 to get lunch at Market Place. I have never taken my family there to eat before, which is hard to believe because Deric and I eat there ALL the time! We love it and so did they! After lunch we headed over to the shop so I could color and cut their hair. Jen was all about cutting her hair off again... which looks great on her! Mom had been growing hers out for years. So she really didn't want to cut it. She looked in some books and found a really cut swing bob. *For my defense, Moms hair NEEDED to be cut. The ends were in bad shape and was doing nothing for her. My mom is so stinking cut and looks so young and that hair was dragging her down!*  So she agreed for me to cut it and I didn't turn back. She might  the only.... THE only "client" who cried in my chair!  I have been doing hair for almost 7 years now and no one has sat in my chair and cried about hair.  I have cut feet off of peoples hair and they are good with it! Not my mom...... she didn't cry but for a few seconds and then was "good" she said. I think she will get more used to it. It is so cute and fits her personality... and the best part it is HEALTHY!

*You will see pictures later when I upload some after our appointment today*

Speaking of the appointment..... I couldn't get much sleep last night. I was so excited  for myself and sad for a friend/ client.  Both were heavy on my mind and heart.  I went to bed so happy to finally be laying down to go to sleep before the appointment I  have so eagerly  been waiting for. This is the day I have been waiting for my whole adult life. I am beyond happy today for myself and my family! I can't wait to find out Baby Bidwell's gender. I am down to 2 hours away till we find out as I type this! LOL

On to the friend I mentioned. Yesterday while doing hair I got a text from her. Mary, my friend, was due Nov 1. When I got pregnant with the miscarriage was when she was pregnant. Our due dates were 3 days apart and we were so happy! She has been a client for years and we have become good friends.  I was desperately hoping a girl for her as she already has 2 boys. Her pregnancy was going great she was having a GIRL but  having to get her blood pressure checked all the time. She had that with her second son. Mary's husband is in the Army and they now live in OK on base. So I don't get to see her much only when she visits her family here in NWA. Anyhow, her text was shocking, sad, and understandable to me. She had told me at her doctors appointment Wednesday  the baby's heartbeat had stopped and they did an C-section that night. I can't even imagine the pain she and her family are going through. My heart is broken for her. I just ask  all of you to send your thoughts and prayers for Mary, Hunter, and their families.

It is so hard for me today to be so happy for myself and my family when I can't stop thinking about how sad Mary is today.  Mary didn't even know if she should let me know because she didn't wasn't to ruin my week. That is the type of person she is... always of thinking of others.  I don't know many details but little Ava will be laid to rest in NWA on Saturday. Pam, Mary's mom, will be keeping me posted. Thanks for your prayers ahead of time!

And of course be sure to stop by later today to see what BABY Bidwell's gender is!!!
