Loving our princess

We have been having a really nice time with our baby girl. She is such a sweet baby and so clam. She only really cries now when she is hungry. Even a wet, poopy diaper doesn't make her cry. I have really enjoyed having my parents and sister here. They have really been helping me out while I recover from the c-section. I am feeling better but still have pain. I am hoping by next week I will be feeling much better.
We have a fabulous night last night. We watched "Happiest Baby on the Block" and got some really good tips from it. We wrapped Amelia up in a tight swaddle and laid her on her side in the pack and play. She slept for 3 straight hours with only a little fussing. She only woke up twice on her own last night for a feeding and this morning I woke her up for her morning feed. I want to keep her on a 3 hour cycle. So far today she has been on schedule!! Last night, however, she is throw up pretty good. Got all her blankets and the infant sleeper puked on! But she managed it keep it off herself! Then mom was changing her diaper this morning and peed all over the place. Gigi didn't get a clean diaper on fast enough! So we have already had a FULL load of dirty clothes and blankets!

We made it home! We are just enjoying our time and getting Amelia settled in. The dogs are doing really well with their baby sister. My parents and sister are here until Saturday and then Deric's mom will fly in Sunday and stay the week with us. I am so thankful for the help! Amelia is one precious gift and I couldn't be more happy. Our first night as a family of three was wonderful. Amelia slept and ate really well last night! I hope she keeps it up!

Happy Birthday Amelia!

Our day started off yesterday at 11:30. We had to be in pre-op for about an hour and a half... which  turned in to more like 2 hours. Here is a the last picture of me pregnant with Amelia!

Here is a picture with Dr. Seale right before the wheeled me back for surgery! For some reason I look HUGE!!! I can't even believe I am sharing the photo but I just love my doctor and wanted to have the photo on here for my keepings.

Soon to be Daddy waiting for the nurse to come get him. I think he looked pretty darn cute in his blue getup!

Amelia Evelyn Jayne was born January 17th at 1:59pm. She weighed in at 6 lbs 7oz and was 18.5 inches long. She came into the world with a pretty good cry... I will forever remember. Her Daddy and I are so happy Amelia is a healthy baby! We feel so blessed!

Our baby girl is just perfect! We couldn't be more happy that she is here! She has the most beautiful color of skin and some medium brown hair. Her eyes are a greyish blue color for now. She has been taking to nursing pretty good so far. So I am hoping she keeps up the good work!

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY and Final tour of Nursery

 I can't believe our baby girl will be here tomorrow! We are set for surgery at 1:00 Arkansas time. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time. I can't wait to met our little princess. Time has really seemed to fly by these last 39 weeks. Seems like is was just yesterday I was mourning the lost of a miscarriage and now we are just a few short hours away from meeting our baby girl.

Today I finished up Amelia's Nursery... nothing like waiting till the last moment!

I am so in love with her bedding! Michelle did such a wonderful job! I knew it would get done before Amelia arrived. She does have some extra pillows and a second blanket to finish but then it will be complete!  I will post one last pregnancy picture later. I wanted to get her nursery tour done first!

38 weeks and Birthday

Today we had our LAST doctors appointment! We started off with an ultrasound to see how big Amelia is. She weighs roughly 6 lbs 12 oz. So she is a great size. She doesn't have much room at all.  We had a 4D ultrasound. We got to see Amelia smile and stick her tongue out. I couldn't believe how chunky her little cheeks are. And it looks like she got a cute little nose... Deric was worried about that! ;) I think she is going to be a little cutie!!

 We decided today  that Amelia will be born via c-section on Monday..... MONDAY!!! I can't believe it! We will meet our little girl around 1:00 on the 17th. I have to go to to the hospital for pre-op on Thursday and then we show up Monday at 11:30 to start the process! My parents and sister will be here this weekend. So I am looking forward to them being here. I can't seem to stop smiling just thinking of our little girl being here so soon!

Maternity Clothes: maternity pants but normal tops so far which is crazy

Movement: She is running out of space but still manages to move a lot
Sleep: waking up a lot at night

What I miss: being comfortable
Cravings: chocolate chip cookies

Best Moment this week: we got an ultrasound today... Amelia smiled at us. Melts my heart!

What I am looking forward to:  Monday is the big day.... I can't wait to meet our baby girl!
