More family visits

My mom and sister drove down on the Sunday after Aliza was born. They got in late but we kept Amelia up so she could greet them.
It was nice to have my mom and sister here to help! We stayed home a lot but we did get out a few times! I figured since I was feeling pretty good and had the extra hands why not! Plus, I was already stir crazy!
We had a MOPS play date on Tuesday so we took Amelia. She loves "Little Giggles" and I couldn't let her miss out on it! Aliza hung out in the moby wrap all snug as a bug!

After playing all morning we stopped for lunch then home for Amelia's nap. I had a one week doctor check so mom , Aliza, and I went.  Everything was good and u had a nice 15lbs lost in a week!

We did something almost every other day, so Thursday was dance day. We couldn't let her miss class. My mom and sister were so happy they got to see her in class. No joke... Amelia is pretty good! She listens so well and follows her teachers moves! So proud!
Baby sis slept the whole time at dance :)

Amelia didn't want to nap after class so we went to target and then to the hospital to see Aliza's future Husband :).
My friend Jenny had baby Samuel just 8 days after Aliza. He is a big boy!! Aliza looked so much smaller than him... He had almost pounds on her!
By that night I was worn out and sore! I was only 8 days out from surgery and I was feeling some pain. We stayed in our pjs all of Friday too. Just lots of snuggle time.

Saturday was my mom and Jen's last day. We went to this huge craft fair that is held  every year and then to the mall. It was a busy day. Plus, I figured Daddy could use the break of family around and have the house to himself for a while!
Amelia got worn out while at the show so we put her in the seat/stroller while I nursed! I couldn't believe she kinda fit!! Haha!

There was a lady there offering mini photo sessions and since the girls were matching I had too!!

So cute these two!!

After we shopped the crafts we headed to the mall. The only thing we had planned was lunch, pedis for big sis and I, and some build a bear fun!
Amelia LOVED her special day! We made sure she felt extra special! She has done outstanding with having sister home... I couldn't have asked for better kid!!

Amelia and GiGi getting ready to build her kitty! It was her first time there! She loved it!!

It was sad to see them leave Sunday but I was also ready to see how we would do alone. So far great and it has been a week alone! Our girls are great!!

Sisters

Amelia has been beyond sweet and gentle her new baby sister! She was so
Happy to finally meet her. Amelia asks to
Hold and feed her a lot. It melts me heart to see her loving on Aliza.

Aliza is a champ. She sleeps through anything! Which is amazing since we have two crazy barking pups and almost 3 year old who is pretty rambunctious. She is sleeping really good at night and staying more awake in the day. I am praying this one sleeps!!

The first week Deric's parents where here. They got here a couple of days before Aliza was born then left Saturday. We didn't do all that much since we were in the hospital. But I did skip out just after 24hours after my c-section. So we were home in time for Halloween .

Amelia had a Halloween party at dance, so Deric and his parents took her.  They brought her to my room so I could help get her ready!! She was so pumped to be a black kitty!!

Aliza and I hung at the hospital waiting to be discharged. We brought Aliza home in her Halloween dress Amelia picked put. I had made matching sisters outfits for them to wear home but that was when I thought we were going home the day after Halloween. Since we got to go home early I thought it was fitting for the girls to be in their Halloween shirts.

We spent the rest of the night at home while Daddy took big sis trick or treating. She had a blast.. To say the least.  Girl stocked us up on some candy! She was even telling Deric to stay on the sidewalk when she went to the doors with her friends.... So big!

Aliza didn't venture out but I still made her a costume so I had to put her in it. Plus, our neighbor friends saw her dressed when they came to our door.  My inlaws passed out candy for the kiddos. Our new neighborhood has a ton of kids...I love it!

Next up.. More hospital pics and my family visits :)

Aliza is here!!

We welcomed our 2nd sweet second girl at 11:05 Oct 30th. Aliza was 6.14 lbs, 19 inches long and perfect! We are both doing so good. Even though we had a planned c-section I skipped out of the hospital a day early! I was so happy to be home on Halloween night! I wanted so badly to be home to see out big girl go out trick or treating!
My doctor is beyond amazing and knew I wanted to be home. Also, I recovered so well the first time she knew I know the ropes :)
Here are the photos I snapped with my iPhone at the hospital!

I have tons more but they are on our big camera. I haven't uploaded them yet. I will post more soon! Plus, we had some
Cute girls for Halloween... So I will share that too!

The night before

Tomorrow is the big day we welcome our second princess into the world. And when I say tomorrow I really mean today as it is midnight and I am still wide awake.

Thoughts on my mind ...

I know every mom and dad who is welcoming the 2nd child wonders if they'll have enough love for both.
I have no doubt loving each girl the same... I worry about spending enough time with both.

-Still have some last minute packing to do for me.

- nervous about leaving Amelia for a couple of nights... I haven't left her but once and she was pretty much in bed when I left. And I was back home by 8am

- praying I recovery quickly

-hope Amelia isn't scared tomorrow/today when she sees me :/

-anxious to know we have a heathy little girl and wonder what she looks like!

-can't wait to see Amelia's face when she sees sister! I will have to remind Deric to take Amelia's photo when he comes out with Aliza!

- pray Amelia understands and at peace with why I can't hold her.

-going to be hard not having my side of the family here with us tomorrow/today.  But they will be here Sunday.

As I tucked our big girl into bed tonight I snuggled a little closer and stayed much longer after she fell to sleep. I can't believe the has come to welcome another baby. Our life is filled with so much joy with our Diva and I can't imagine what we will feel like tomorrow. I am in awe of how much Amelia understands about the whole deal. I just pray she stays excited and happy about sister!  She says she is going to tell sister first that she loves her and that she is the big sister! My heart melted when she said she was going to tell her "I love you, sister" first!!

Here is a photo I snapped while in her bed tonight! The flash was super bright for her eyes! ;)

I will update with a photo as soon as I can tomorrow! :)

Aliza's nursery

I must say I am pretty darn proud of this room! I have sewn and crafted everything in it! I love the color combo so much. They only thing I didn't do is paint the walls... That was daddy's job! I love the stripes :) Here is the big reveal.
* I do have to thank our sweet neighbors/friends for letting us borrow their daughters crib and changing table. I wanted white furtuire so bad and they were moving H out of her crib and offered it to us! Her husband refurbished the crib and changing table. It is
Beautiful!!!

This is the week we welcome Sweet Aliza! I can't wait! My inlaws got here today and now it feels official! So ready to meet our tiny princess!!

Aliza's Sprinkle

My sweet friend, Rebecca, threw me a sprinkle this past Sunday. It was so sweet of her to offer. Even though we are having another little princess we have quite a bit of stuff to buy still. I totally forgot about all that small stuff!  I sold my swing, bouncy, bathtub, and boppy pillow... So I had already replaced those. I had yet to buy any diapers really and bath stuff!!

This is sweet Rebecca. She even busted out a diaper cake!! So impressed because if you knew her you would know she doesn't have small children nor does she want any. She is a dedicated momma to 5-6 horses, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and 3 step-daughters.

Anyhow, the sprinkle was a blast! It was held at a restaurant. We had the party room reserved.  My sweet friends who happen to be mostly my neighbor girls were all there! We ate, chatted, and drank (for those who could) haha. It was so relaxed and almost just felt like a great girl lunch! We did get some sweet gifts! I am feeling a bit more prepared.

* I always fee l bad when I don't take enough photos or leave someone out, both the case here! I can't believe I didn't get the whole group in the photo! I must remember to take one at the start of
Parties that way I know everyone is there!!

I have yet to pack a bag.. I have a few days left. Since I am pretty sure I am not going to go into labor on my own I am not too worried. I do have some stuff laid out in her crib, though :)
This next week I am working on getting her nursery done, cleaning up the guest room,  cleaning every squareinch
Of my house and playing/ spending time with Amelia .
