26 days left.... WHAT??

I got home from running errands and put my comfy clothes on right away.  I forgot I hadn't taken a pic yet!
So don't mind outfit.... but this is what I look within minutes of getting home for the rest of the day!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 36 Weeks and 2 days
Size of baby:  about 5 lbs to 5.5 lbs
Total Weight Gain/Loss: gained 18lbs some how I lost almost 2 lbs from last wk.
Maternity Clothes: maternity pants but normal tops so far which is crazy
Gender: GIRL!!!! Amelia Evelyn Jayne
Movement: She is running out of space but still manages to move a lot
Sleep: getting up more to go to the bathroom and just can't stay asleep lately
Symptoms:  back pain still
What I miss: being comfortable...
Cravings: It seems like I can't find anything that sounds good to eat this week
Best Moment this week:  We also got the pack in play in and ordered the rest of Amelia's diapers and of course the best was that we got to hear Amelia's heartbeat again today! It was a strong  beat in the  140s.
What I am looking forward to:  Deric's parents are on their way here for a visit. They left this morning and will get here Wednesday I am sure.  It will be nice to visit with them one. What is crazy is the next time we see them again or any family, Deric and I will be parents!

I can't believe I didn't post anything about Christmas but I will recap ya'll now. Our day was pretty uneventful. We did have our neighbors over for dinner. I made a ham and all the fixings. It was pretty tasty.Deric and I didn't really buy each other much because we have bought SO MUCH baby stuff. Honestly I  couldn't even think of anything that I wanted. But we did buy our new camera and a video camera so those were pretty big buys. I did get Deric a sweater to open on Christmas morning and he got me some lounge pants, a zip up hoddie, and new slippers. I am sure I will be spending lots of time in lounge pants. So I needed some more.  We did buy our "last" big ticket item... we ordered the rest of Amelia's diapers. Once those come in I will have HOURS of washing them all. They have to be washed 5 to 8 times before use!

I didn't take one picture on Christmas.... told you it was uneventful! But we will be doing Christmas with my in-laws when they get here. So I will post pictures then. I am leaving all my decor up till after they leave. They have never seen our tree so I thought it would be nice for them to see it. I am sure Saturday or Sunday I will be tearing the tree down and putting everything away. Well Deric will be putting everything back up in the attic!

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 35 Weeks and 2 days
Size of baby: 4 .5lbs
Total Weight Gain/Loss: gained 18lbs
Maternity Clothes: maternity pants but normal tops so far
Gender: GIRL!!!! Amelia Evelyn Jayne
Movement: Yes, she is a mover! Lately she has found my right ribs!
Sleep: getting up more to go to the bathroom and just can't stay asleep lately
Symptoms:  back pain still
What I miss: being comfortable...
Cravings: I have wanted monster cookies for a week... a co-worker made me some!
Best Moment this week:  I reorganized the whole kitchen. Amelia now has her own cupboard.... and hearing Amelia's heart beat last Thursday and today.... it was 140 both times
What I am looking forward to: Chirstmas is Saturday... it will be sad not to have our family around but I am looking forward to spending the day with just Deric and the pups!

I am now going to the Doctors every week. Today I had an appointment. It took forever at the office... I knew Dr. Seale was going to be overbooked because she was leaving for vacation. But when I got there the girls told me that not only was she overbooked but she was running late because of an c-section she had this morning. So I just sat around the office for part of the afternoon! Today was the first day she checked me. Baby Amelia is head down but still up pretty high. I am not dilated yet. My pelvic bone is still really narrow so she is going to give me couple more weeks to see if it moves. If not then a c-section will be in our future because she doesn't think Amelia will be able to fit at all if it stays the same as now.
Next week I will see a different doctor. I don't know how I feel about this but I know it has to be done because Dr. Seale will still be on vacation. But at least it is only one appointment without her! So hopefully in two weeks from today we will know how little Amelia is going to enter our lives!

After my doctors appointment I went to the cloth diaper store. My neighbor who is like my AR mom went with me. She bought us 6 more diapers for my shower gift! I couldn't be more excited about them. I was like a kid in a candy store! The store not only have cute diapers but come really cute clothes. I didn't buy anything though...... I might have to go back. I have 9 GroVia's' diapers and now I have 6 Bumgenius  4.0 a combination of pocket and all in ones diapers. I am going to buy 12 more Bumgenius and then we will be set! I won't need anymore and will have plenty to get us through a day and half. Until she gets a bit older and then I won't need to wash for diapers but every other day I am sure! I love the new "designer" colors..... the swirls. So cute! I can't wait to see Amelia sport them!

First Dress

Today I had a pretty lazy day off. I finished up some thank you cards to send out and filled out Christmas cards. I need to get them out in the mail tomorrow.
I have been thinking for a while.... like since I found out baby was a girl... that I wanted to start sewing some little dresses. I have basic sewing skills and do my best. I made this dress today... the first one I have made Amelia so far. I didn't have a pattern. I just used a step by step tutorial online. I am sure most of you woman know it has a pillow case dress. I really REALLY hope it fits Amelia so she can come home from the hospital in it.  I want her to come home in something special and it would make me so happy if it fits her! But I am sure I will have a few other outfits for backup just in case!

A Fallen Hero

I am not even sure how to write this post. I am so heartbroken for my good friend Katie. She married her Marine husband just over a year ago. They live in CA where Chad was stationed. Katie called me today with the most horrible news. Chad life was taken yesterday while he was serving this great country.
I have never known anyone personally serving who has lost their life while on duty. I am at a loss of words and can't believe it has even happened. I ask you all to keep Katie in your thoughts and prayers. She is going to need all the support she can get. She gave her husband the most support of all and now it is our turn to return support and love to her. Such a young couple to have the most devastating ending.

This picture was taken the day Chad left for deployment.
RIP Chad Wade.... you protected our country and we will protect and keep your loving wife.

Best Moment this week: I put away a lot of gifts from the shower this week. I love spending time in the nursery! Hearing Amelia's heartbeat on Monday. It was 150
What I am looking forward to: First, I can't wait to feel better! Sunday we are doing our maternity pictures. My good friend Candace is going to take them. I can't wait!!!

I started feeling sick while we were home for Thanksgiving. It started with a dry soar throat and then I lost my voice by Friday. So the 12 hour drive home was horrible for me. I was not feeling good and my back hurt so bad.  I felt bad for Deric. He had to do all of the driving. I only lasted an hour at most driving before I had to stop. I ended up laying in the back on top of the suitcases with the dogs! I am sure it wasn't the safest thing to do when I was 32 weeks pregnant but I couldn't get any relief in my back pain sitting. I am just thankful we had a safe trip home.
When we got home Sunday night we both unpacked and got everything put away! I knew if I didn't do it right then it wouldn't get done for a couple of days. Monday morning I had a my 32 week appointment.  Amelia is growing right on time. Which I was so happy to hear. Also Dr. Seale gave me some meds for my cold and I am feeling better. I still have raspy voice and cough. I have two more days of meds so I should feel better by the end of the week.
I will post about our trip home tomorrow. We had a great visit home for Thanksgiving. It was kinda weird  to be home because we have never went home for Thanksgiving since we moved to Arkansas.

Baby Shower

I finally get around to post about my BEAUTIFUL baby shower. The shower was November 20th back in Indiana. Our moms and sisters hosted the shower and let me tell you everything was just perfect. Also my moms' cousin came from Chicago on Thursday night to help. I am such a lucky girl.... and feel so loved!  We held the shower at our home church. It was where my bridal shower was and where we got married so it was the perfect spot to hold the baby shower!
My sister and mom did all the decorations. They went over and beyond for little Amelia and I. Mom did a cravings table and my sister got the cake from a local bakery. The cake was so stinkin cute... it did get a little damaged in the 4 hour car ride but it was still really tasty! Deric's mom and sister did all the food. It was so yummy! No one walked away from the shower hungry. They made some of my favorite foods and salads so I was a happy girl! Kim, Deric's sister, did the games. They were so much fun. We played "Price is Right", "Baby Bingo" and then everyone had to cut a string that they think equals how big my belly is. This game was fun and cracked me up on how long some people's strings were. One of my friends had her string longer than what I stood tall with HEALS!!  Our niece, Nikhol, was pretty much spot on. Her string was just an 1\2  inch too long! I was amazed she got that close!
Here are a bunch of photos of the day. Beware of picture overload!  I have taken some with our new camera, other pictures came from my MIL's camera and my  little Cannon Elph .

tissue paper flowers that Jen hung for the ceiling
Banner for the gift table and will be hung in nursery
Amelia's initials.. in a flower pot... how cute!

The centerpieces on all the tables

Advice cards and seed packets for favors

yummy red-velvet cake

diaper race

Amelia is already so loved and spoiled! This girl got so much that we had to have my mom ship some of  the baby gifts to us! Amelia is going to be one well dressed little girl that is for sure! There was NO way that all her stuff, our luggage, and two pups were going to fit in our SUV! I am looking forward to getting her stuff in her room. I have a lot of work to do before my shower here AR.

I want to Thank everyone again who came to the shower. I can't wait for you all to meet our little princess! And to our Moms and Sisters,
You ladies are amazing and did over and beyond. We are so blessed to have you and thankful everyday for everything you do for us. I can't thank you enough for throwing me a wonderful baby shower that I will never forget. I can't wait to see you all in just a few more weeks and I know Amelia can't wait to meet her GiGi,
G-ma Linda, and her Aunties!! I am lucky I have good role models to look up to and know I will get great advice from you all. Love you all!!
P.S. I can't believe I didn't get a picture with all of you together with me. It makes me so mad and sad.I did manage to get one with my mom but that is it! We needed a list of pictures to check off the list! I am surprised Jen didn't have a list for that! LOL

this was after the shower and during tear down... so it isn't the best pic... sad

~ I failed to do a 31 week and 32 week post because we were gone. I will post a 32 week post because I am just now 32 wk 2 days pregnant now.
